Image to Inline Source (Data URI)
Converts an image into a data URI — a self-contained text string that embeds the image directly in HTML or CSS, with no separate file to host or link to.

When you'd use this
- Embedding a small icon directly in a page's HTML or CSS, with no separate file to host
- Getting a quick data URI for a one-off image in a prototype
- Inlining a small illustration so it loads with the page instantly
A data URI avoids a separate HTTP request for small images (icons, small illustrations), but bloats the HTML/CSS it's embedded in and can't be cached separately by the browser — it's a good fit for small, one-off images, not for photos or anything reused across many pages.
