Computes the MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, and CRC32 checksum of any file, and lets you check it against an expected value.
Confirming a download hasn't been corrupted or tampered with, or matching a file against a publisher's published checksum.
Drop any file. All four hashes appear immediately; paste an expected hash to check it against them.
MD5 and SHA-1 are no longer considered cryptographically secure against a determined attacker; for verifying a download is intact, any of these work fine, but prefer SHA-256 for anything security-sensitive.
