WAV/BWF Viewer

Reads a WAV file's audio properties (sample rate, channels, bit depth) and, for broadcast audio, the Broadcast Wave Format (bext) chunk — description, originator, origination date/time.

Why it exists

Checking a WAV file's properties, or a broadcast audio file's production metadata, without specialist broadcast tools.

How to use it

Drop a .wav file. Audio properties appear immediately, plus bext metadata if the file has it.

Good to know

Not every WAV file has a bext chunk — it's a broadcast-industry extension, common in professional audio and radio/TV production tools but not in everyday WAV exports.
