APK / IPA Manifest Viewer

Reads an Android app's manifest (decoding the compiled binary XML directly) or an iOS app's Info.plist to show permissions, components and SDK/OS requirements before you install it.

Why it exists

Seeing exactly what an app can access — camera, location, background services — before installing it is real, practical privacy value, not just a developer curiosity.

How to use it

Drop an .apk or .ipa file. The platform is detected automatically and permissions, components (Android) or usage descriptions (iOS) are shown immediately.

Good to know

Android's manifest is stored as compiled binary XML (not plain text) — this decodes that format directly. iOS permission descriptions come from Info.plist's *UsageDescription keys.
